Abstract Stripe Wallpaper: Textured Brushstroke Design

Abstract Stripe Wallpaper

This abstract stripe wallpaper is my textured tonal stripe, a loose vertical stripe painted with broken, dry-brush strokes so the edges break up and the colour shifts as it runs. It reads as a soft, organic stripe, more texture than hard line.

Every stroke is drawn by hand with a broken ink brush, so the stripe stays uneven and full of movement, each band a little different from the last. That is what gives this abstract stripe wallpaper its depth on the wall, a quiet, painterly quality that shows more detail the closer you get.

Where this abstract stripe wallpaper works

The abstract stripe wallpaper earns its place in almost any room, because the texture reads as a soft, tonal near-solid from across the room and a hand-painted stripe up close. It lifts a living room as a feature wall or a full wrap, settles a bedroom, and does a lovely job in a hallway, where the vertical line adds height and the soft colour keeps a narrow space calm. In the pre-pasted or peel and stick finish it suits a bathroom too.

It sits easily across coastal, farmhouse, contemporary and relaxed, earthy schemes, taking its cue from the colourway more than any one look. Each stripe carries a soft, almost ombre shift in tone, so the wall has movement without pattern. Use it as a full room wrap where you want that quiet, textured depth, or a single feature wall where you want a lighter touch.

Colourways

Choose from six colourways, each with its own feel:

Light Blue

A soft, cool blue with a fresh, coastal feel. At home in a bathroom, hallway or calm bedroom, and a natural pick for a coastal or new-build scheme.

Beige Neutral

A warm, neutral beige, the most tonal of the six. Quietly textured rather than plain, and flexible enough for a living room, landing or hallway in almost any style.

Brown

A rich, earthy brown with an almost wood-grain quality. Warm and rustic, made for a farmhouse or characterful living room, a study or a snug.

Charcoal Grey

A deep, smoky charcoal grey that grounds a room. Confident on a living room or bedroom feature wall, and at home in contemporary and moody, dramatic schemes.

Pink

A soft, warm pink that stays gentle rather than sweet. Lovely in a nursery or child's room, and easy in a calm, contemporary bedroom.

Light Green

A soft, muted green with a calm, earthy feel. Grounding and relaxed, at home in a bedroom, living room or a nature-leaning, organic scheme.

This abstract stripe wallpaper is available in peel and stick, traditional non-pasted, and pre-pasted. All printed to order on PVC-free paper with GreenGuard-certified inks.

If you would like the stripe in a different tone to suit your space, every design can be recoloured for free. Send me your paint code and I will match the artwork to your room before it prints. Scaling can be adjusted too, just ask.

Wallpaper Types

Peel & Stick

No paste, no fuss. Made from 100% woven polyester fabric at 275gsm (370gsm including the peel-off liner), it has a soft, fabric-like feel and a matte woven texture. Self-adhesive, repositionable for up to 24 hours after hanging, and removes cleanly in one piece.

A good choice for renters, first-timers, and anyone who wants flexibility without sacrificing finish. Works in bathrooms and moderately humid spaces. Not suitable for heavily textured walls.

PVC-free, GreenGuard certified, printed with UV inks.

Traditional (Non-Pasted)

The classic option for a long-lasting, permanent finish. Non-woven fabric at 190gsm with a smooth matte surface. Apply paste to the wall, hang the panel, trim if needed.

A good choice for full room makeovers and anyone wanting a finish that's built to stay. Best on smooth, dry walls. Not recommended for bathrooms or humid spaces. Not suitable for heavily textured walls.

PVC-free, GreenGuard certified, printed with UV inks.

Pre-Pasted

The middle ground between traditional and peel and stick. You get a permanent finish without the paste. The adhesive is already on the paper, activated with a damp roller or sponge.

At 300gsm it has a fine embossed texture and a premium matte feel. Repositionable while the adhesive is still wet, and suitable for bathrooms and moderately humid spaces. Not suitable for heavily textured walls.

PVC-free, GreenGuard certified, printed with UV inks.

Measure your walls carefully

Colours and pattern flow depend on getting this right, so it's worth taking your time.

• Measure height from skirting board to ceiling, or wherever you want the wallpaper to end.
• Measure the width of each wall you plan to cover.
• Use the tallest height measurement across the whole project.
• Include doors, windows, and architectural features so the pattern runs correctly around them.
• Take several measurements along each wall. Ceilings and floors are often uneven.

Read the full guide here.

Order the right amount

• Multiply your wall area by the coverage per roll to estimate how many you need.
• Choose one roll size and stick with it throughout the project for consistent pattern matching.
• Round up and order all rolls at once. Same batch means the closest colour match across panels.
• Not sure? Just message me and I'll help you work it out.

Order a sample first

Screens and room lighting both affect how colours read. A sample is the simplest way to check colour, scale, and finish in your own space before committing.

Colour customisation

If the design is almost right but the colour isn't quite there, just ask. I can adjust the palette to match your paint colour, existing décor, or anything else you're working with.

Pattern scale

I can also adjust the scale of a pattern to suit your space, larger, smaller, or as shown. For more significant design edits, a small design fee may apply, but I'll always be upfront about that before anything is confirmed.

Either way, you'll receive a digital preview to approve before your order is placed. No surprises.

How to request

Use the customisation request form to send me your colour or scale preferences. I'll come back to you with a preview and confirm any costs if relevant. Once you're happy, we'll get your order processed.
