Art Deco Peacock Wallpaper: Gold & Silver 1920s Gatsby Deisgn

Art Deco Peacock Wallpaper

There is something distinctly 1920s about a peacock. The sweeping feather motif, the curved lines, the Gatsby-era sense that every surface deserves a little ceremony. This art deco peacock wallpaper leans into all of that, with flowing geometric linework and a fanned plume that gives the pattern real depth and movement.

The design has a textured, almost distressed quality to the ground, visible up close. It gives the pattern a richness that flat digital prints rarely manage.

Where this art deco peacock wallpaper works

This art deco peacock wallpaper works well as a statement wall in living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms, and home bars. The scale is bold enough to carry a full room wrap, though most people use it on a single feature wall.

Choose your ground colour, black or teal, and your metallic, gold or silver. Four combinations in all, each with its own character.

Colourways

Black and Gold

Deep black with warm gold linework. Graphic and glamorous in equal measure. At home in maximalist interiors, art deco influenced spaces, and rooms that want a strong 1920s mood.

Black and Silver

The same deep black ground with cool silver lines. Sharper and more monochrome than the gold, with a clean, contemporary edge. Suits modern Deco schemes and rooms with chrome or steel detailing.

Teal and Gold

A rich, dark teal ground with warm gold detailing. Moody and considered. Works well in living rooms, home bars, and spaces with dark painted woodwork or warm brass fittings.

Teal and Silver

The same deep teal with silver linework. Cooler and quieter than the gold version. Suits calm, considered spaces that lean blue rather than warm.

This art deco peacock wallpaper is available in peel and stick, traditional non-pasted, and pre-pasted. All printed to order on PVC-free paper.

If you'd like the peacock in a different tone to suit your space, every design can be recoloured for free. Send me your paint code and I'll adjust the artwork to match your room before it prints.

Wallpaper Types

Peel & Stick

No paste, no fuss. Made from 100% woven polyester fabric at 275gsm (370gsm including the peel-off liner), it has a soft, fabric-like feel and a matte woven texture. Self-adhesive, repositionable for up to 24 hours after hanging, and removes cleanly in one piece.

A good choice for renters, first-timers, and anyone who wants flexibility without sacrificing finish. Works in bathrooms and moderately humid spaces. Not suitable for heavily textured walls.

PVC-free, GreenGuard certified, printed with UV inks.

Traditional (Non-Pasted)

The classic option for a long-lasting, permanent finish. Non-woven fabric at 190gsm with a smooth matte surface. Apply paste to the wall, hang the panel, trim if needed.

A good choice for full room makeovers and anyone wanting a finish that's built to stay. Best on smooth, dry walls. Not recommended for bathrooms or humid spaces. Not suitable for heavily textured walls.

PVC-free, GreenGuard certified, printed with UV inks.

Pre-Pasted

The middle ground between traditional and peel and stick. You get a permanent finish without the paste. The adhesive is already on the paper, activated with a damp roller or sponge.

At 300gsm it has a fine embossed texture and a premium matte feel. Repositionable while the adhesive is still wet, and suitable for bathrooms and moderately humid spaces. Not suitable for heavily textured walls.

PVC-free, GreenGuard certified, printed with UV inks.

Measure your walls carefully

Colours and pattern flow depend on getting this right, so it's worth taking your time.

• Measure height from skirting board to ceiling, or wherever you want the wallpaper to end.
• Measure the width of each wall you plan to cover.
• Use the tallest height measurement across the whole project.
• Include doors, windows, and architectural features so the pattern runs correctly around them.
• Take several measurements along each wall. Ceilings and floors are often uneven.

Read the full guide here.

Order the right amount

• Multiply your wall area by the coverage per roll to estimate how many you need.
• Choose one roll size and stick with it throughout the project for consistent pattern matching.
• Round up and order all rolls at once. Same batch means the closest colour match across panels.
• Not sure? Just message me and I'll help you work it out.

Order a sample first

Screens and room lighting both affect how colours read. A sample is the simplest way to check colour, scale, and finish in your own space before committing.

Colour customisation

If the design is almost right but the colour isn't quite there, just ask. I can adjust the palette to match your paint colour, existing décor, or anything else you're working with.

Pattern scale

I can also adjust the scale of a pattern to suit your space, larger, smaller, or as shown. For more significant design edits, a small design fee may apply, but I'll always be upfront about that before anything is confirmed.

Either way, you'll receive a digital preview to approve before your order is placed. No surprises.

How to request

Use the customisation request form to send me your colour or scale preferences. I'll come back to you with a preview and confirm any costs if relevant. Once you're happy, we'll get your order processed.
