Tulip Trellis Wallpaper: Grandmillennial Cottage Design

Tulip Trellis Wallpaper

Some patterns feel like they've always belonged on the wall. Tulip trellis wallpaper has that quality: rows of slim, hand-drawn tulips climbing a fine trellis, ordered enough to feel calm and characterful enough to give a room a bit of history.

Each tulip and leaf is drawn by hand, with a slightly loose, botanical quality that keeps the trellis feeling soft and homely. The dusty blue-grey foliage runs through both colourways, giving this tulip trellis wallpaper a gentle, grandmillennial warmth that sits somewhere between a country cottage and a quiet heritage house.

Where this tulip trellis wallpaper works

This is a pattern for rooms you want to feel settled and lived-in. It's right at home in cottage, farmhouse and grandmillennial schemes, where the trellis structure brings order and the tulips bring warmth. Run it through a bedroom or living room for a full, enveloping look, or hold it to a single feature wall behind a bed or a mantel.

The smaller repeat makes this tulip trellis wallpaper a good pick for tighter spaces too, a hallway, a cloakroom, a downstairs loo, or the back of a shelved alcove. It suits a dining room that wants a bit of occasion, and the softer pink colourway is gentle enough for a nursery.

Colourways

Choose from two colourways, both on a cream ground with dusty blue-grey foliage:

Ochre Yellow

Gold and ochre tulips with real warmth, the sunnier of the two. At home in a cottage living room, a snug, or a hallway that could do with lifting.

Dusty Pink

Soft, muted pink tulips with a quieter, more romantic feel. Settles happily into a bedroom or nursery, and suits a gentle, grandmillennial scheme.

This tulip trellis wallpaper is available in peel and stick, traditional non-pasted, and pre-pasted. All printed to order on PVC-free paper.

If the design is almost right but the tone isn't quite there, every design can be recoloured for free. Send me your paint code and I'll adjust the artwork to match your room before it prints. Just use the custom request page.

Wallpaper Types

Peel & Stick

No paste, no fuss. Made from 100% woven polyester fabric at 275gsm (370gsm including the peel-off liner), it has a soft, fabric-like feel and a matte woven texture. Self-adhesive, repositionable for up to 24 hours after hanging, and removes cleanly in one piece.

A good choice for renters, first-timers, and anyone who wants flexibility without sacrificing finish. Works in bathrooms and moderately humid spaces. Not suitable for heavily textured walls.

PVC-free, GreenGuard certified, printed with UV inks.

Traditional (Non-Pasted)

The classic option for a long-lasting, permanent finish. Non-woven fabric at 190gsm with a smooth matte surface. Apply paste to the wall, hang the panel, trim if needed.

A good choice for full room makeovers and anyone wanting a finish that's built to stay. Best on smooth, dry walls. Not recommended for bathrooms or humid spaces. Not suitable for heavily textured walls.

PVC-free, GreenGuard certified, printed with UV inks.

Pre-Pasted

The middle ground between traditional and peel and stick. You get a permanent finish without the paste. The adhesive is already on the paper, activated with a damp roller or sponge.

At 300gsm it has a fine embossed texture and a premium matte feel. Repositionable while the adhesive is still wet, and suitable for bathrooms and moderately humid spaces. Not suitable for heavily textured walls.

PVC-free, GreenGuard certified, printed with UV inks.

Measure your walls carefully

Colours and pattern flow depend on getting this right, so it's worth taking your time.

• Measure height from skirting board to ceiling, or wherever you want the wallpaper to end.
• Measure the width of each wall you plan to cover.
• Use the tallest height measurement across the whole project.
• Include doors, windows, and architectural features so the pattern runs correctly around them.
• Take several measurements along each wall. Ceilings and floors are often uneven.

Read the full guide here.

Order the right amount

• Multiply your wall area by the coverage per roll to estimate how many you need.
• Choose one roll size and stick with it throughout the project for consistent pattern matching.
• Round up and order all rolls at once. Same batch means the closest colour match across panels.
• Not sure? Just message me and I'll help you work it out.

Order a sample first

Screens and room lighting both affect how colours read. A sample is the simplest way to check colour, scale, and finish in your own space before committing.

Colour customisation

If the design is almost right but the colour isn't quite there, just ask. I can adjust the palette to match your paint colour, existing décor, or anything else you're working with.

Pattern scale

I can also adjust the scale of a pattern to suit your space, larger, smaller, or as shown. For more significant design edits, a small design fee may apply, but I'll always be upfront about that before anything is confirmed.

Either way, you'll receive a digital preview to approve before your order is placed. No surprises.

How to request

Use the customisation request form to send me your colour or scale preferences. I'll come back to you with a preview and confirm any costs if relevant. Once you're happy, we'll get your order processed.
