The Practical Bits
Vertical Striped Wallpaper
A simple stripe is harder to get right than it looks. This vertical striped wallpaper started as exactly that, a clean thin stripe, until a row of small rounded bead shapes along each line gave it the detail it needed. Subtle enough to sit quietly in a room, distinct enough to be worth a second look.
Each beaded stripe is drawn by hand, so the line swells and narrows with a gentle, organic rhythm rather than a ruled edge, and the ground carries a soft linen-like texture. That detail is what gives this beaded stripe wallpaper its mid-century character up close.
Where this vertical striped wallpaper works
Stripes earn their keep in rooms that need direction. The vertical line draws the eye upward, which makes this a strong choice for hallways, landings and any space where you want a sense of height, a small hallway especially. In a bedroom or living room it holds a feature wall without dominating, or wraps the full space as a backdrop with rhythm.
The thin striped wallpaper look sits most naturally in mid-century and retro schemes, but the beading keeps it softer than a hard geometric line, so it settles into relaxed contemporary rooms and nurseries just as easily. Use it as a full room wrap where you want commitment, or a single feature wall where you want the vertical striped wallpaper look in a smaller dose.
Colourways
Choose from five colourways, each with its own feel:
Black and White
A deep charcoal-black ground with a crisp ivory stripe, contrasty enough to read as true black and white striped wallpaper. The most confidently mid-century of the five, at home in contemporary spaces, moody home offices and rooms with brass or warm metal accents.
Sage Green
A soft, muted green ground with a pale ivory stripe. At home in Japandi interiors, quiet contemporary rooms and spaces built around natural materials and earthy tones.
Blush Pink
A light, warm pink ground with a soft ivory line. Suits romantic contemporary bedrooms, nurseries and quiet luxury rooms that want softness kept grown-up.
Steel Blue
A calm, airy blue-grey ground with an ivory stripe. Works in coastal interiors, Scandi-influenced spaces, Japandi bedrooms and nurseries.
Warm Beige
A soft neutral ground with an ivory stripe, more texture than colour. Sits quietly in farmhouse, coastal grandma and relaxed contemporary rooms.
This vertical striped wallpaper is available in peel and stick, traditional non-pasted, and pre-pasted. All printed to order on PVC-free paper.
If you'd like the stripe in a different tone to suit your space, every design can be recoloured for free. Send me your paint code and I'll adjust the artwork to match your room before it prints.

Wallpaper Types
Peel & Stick
No paste, no fuss. Made from 100% woven polyester fabric at 275gsm (370gsm including the peel-off liner), it has a soft, fabric-like feel and a matte woven texture. Self-adhesive, repositionable for up to 24 hours after hanging, and removes cleanly in one piece.
A good choice for renters, first-timers, and anyone who wants flexibility without sacrificing finish. Works in bathrooms and moderately humid spaces. Not suitable for heavily textured walls.
PVC-free, GreenGuard certified, printed with UV inks.
Traditional (Non-Pasted)
The classic option for a long-lasting, permanent finish. Non-woven fabric at 190gsm with a smooth matte surface. Apply paste to the wall, hang the panel, trim if needed.
A good choice for full room makeovers and anyone wanting a finish that's built to stay. Best on smooth, dry walls. Not recommended for bathrooms or humid spaces. Not suitable for heavily textured walls.
PVC-free, GreenGuard certified, printed with UV inks.
Pre-Pasted
The middle ground between traditional and peel and stick. You get a permanent finish without the paste. The adhesive is already on the paper, activated with a damp roller or sponge.
At 300gsm it has a fine embossed texture and a premium matte feel. Repositionable while the adhesive is still wet, and suitable for bathrooms and moderately humid spaces. Not suitable for heavily textured walls.
PVC-free, GreenGuard certified, printed with UV inks.

Measure your walls carefully
Colours and pattern flow depend on getting this right, so it's worth taking your time.
- Measure height from skirting board to ceiling, or wherever you want the wallpaper to end.
- Measure the width of each wall you plan to cover.
- Use the tallest height measurement across the whole project.
- Include doors, windows, and architectural features so the pattern runs correctly around them.
- Take several measurements along each wall. Ceilings and floors are often uneven.
Read the full guide here.
Order the right amount
- Multiply your wall area by the coverage per roll to estimate how many you need.
- Choose one roll size and stick with it throughout the project for consistent pattern matching.
- Round up and order all rolls at once. Same batch means the closest colour match across panels.
- Not sure? Just message me and I'll help you work it out.
Order a sample first
Screens and room lighting both affect how colours read. A sample is the simplest way to check colour, scale, and finish in your own space before committing.
Colour customisation
If the design is almost right but the colour isn't quite there, just ask. I can adjust the palette to match your paint colour, existing décor, or anything else you're working with.
Pattern scale
I can also adjust the scale of a pattern to suit your space, larger, smaller, or as shown. For more significant design edits, a small design fee may apply, but I'll always be upfront about that before anything is confirmed.
Either way, you'll receive a digital preview to approve before your order is placed. No surprises.
How to request
Use the customisation request form to send me your colour or scale preferences. I'll come back to you with a preview and confirm any costs if relevant. Once you're happy, we'll get your order processed.
