The Practical Bits
Dahlia Wallpaper
This dahlia wallpaper is my sketchy floral, a loose, hand-drawn dahlia with soft, slightly uneven lines and open brushwork. It keeps all the movement of the original drawing, so the pattern feels relaxed and easy on the wall.
Every dahlia is drawn by hand, and it shows up close: the odd loose line, the open spaces, the sense that a pen actually moved across the page. That sketchy quality is what gives the dahlia wallpaper its warmth and character on the wall.
Where this dahlia wallpaper works
The dahlia wallpaper earns its place in rooms you want to feel considered rather than loud. In a living room it holds a feature wall or wraps the whole space as a bold floral backdrop. In a bedroom the softer colourways keep it calm, while the darker shades turn a wall into something more dramatic. It suits hallways too, and in the pre-pasted or peel and stick finish this dahlia flower wallpaper brings character to a bathroom without overwhelming a small room.
It is floral through and through, at home in maximalist, farmhouse, boho and relaxed contemporary schemes. The bolder colourways, Navy Blue especially, suit a statement wall, while the lighter shades sit comfortably across a whole room or nursery. Use it as a full room wrap where you want commitment, or a single feature wall where you want the floral in smaller doses.
Colourways
Choose from four colourways, each with its own feel:
Navy Blue
A deep, moody navy with off-white and grey line work throughout. The kind of dark floral that makes a bathroom or dining room feel considered. At home in maximalist and classic interiors, and anywhere a dark floral is welcome.
Sage Green
A muted, earthy sage on a cream ground. Calm and grounding without disappearing into the background. Works well in Japandi, cottage and relaxed contemporary spaces, from a bedroom to a home office.
Blush Pink
A warm, clear pink on a soft cream base, neither sugary nor washed out. At home in bedrooms, nurseries and children's rooms, as well as quieter contemporary spaces that want a little warmth.
Mocha Brown
A warm mocha brown with cream line work. Earthy and settled without leaning rustic. Suits farmhouse, warm contemporary and boho interiors, and holds a living room feature wall nicely.
This dahlia wallpaper is available in peel and stick, traditional non-pasted, and pre-pasted. All printed to order on PVC-free paper with GreenGuard-certified inks.
If you would like a colourway adjusted to suit your space, every design can be recoloured for free. Send me your paint code and I will match the artwork to your room before it prints. Scaling can be adjusted too, just ask.
Every design at Summer Skye Studio is drawn and developed by me, Sara. Original artwork, and all patterns are copyright Summer Skye Studio.

Wallpaper Types
Peel & Stick
No paste, no fuss. Made from 100% woven polyester fabric at 275gsm (370gsm including the peel-off liner), it has a soft, fabric-like feel and a matte woven texture. Self-adhesive, repositionable for up to 24 hours after hanging, and removes cleanly in one piece.
A good choice for renters, first-timers, and anyone who wants flexibility without sacrificing finish. Works in bathrooms and moderately humid spaces. Not suitable for heavily textured walls.
PVC-free, GreenGuard certified, printed with UV inks.
Traditional (Non-Pasted)
The classic option for a long-lasting, permanent finish. Non-woven fabric at 190gsm with a smooth matte surface. Apply paste to the wall, hang the panel, trim if needed.
A good choice for full room makeovers and anyone wanting a finish that's built to stay. Best on smooth, dry walls. Not recommended for bathrooms or humid spaces. Not suitable for heavily textured walls.
PVC-free, GreenGuard certified, printed with UV inks.
Pre-Pasted
The middle ground between traditional and peel and stick. You get a permanent finish without the paste. The adhesive is already on the paper, activated with a damp roller or sponge.
At 300gsm it has a fine embossed texture and a premium matte feel. Repositionable while the adhesive is still wet, and suitable for bathrooms and moderately humid spaces. Not suitable for heavily textured walls.
PVC-free, GreenGuard certified, printed with UV inks.

Measure your walls carefully
Colours and pattern flow depend on getting this right, so it's worth taking your time.
- Measure height from skirting board to ceiling, or wherever you want the wallpaper to end.
- Measure the width of each wall you plan to cover.
- Use the tallest height measurement across the whole project.
- Include doors, windows, and architectural features so the pattern runs correctly around them.
- Take several measurements along each wall. Ceilings and floors are often uneven.
Read the full guide here.
Order the right amount
- Multiply your wall area by the coverage per roll to estimate how many you need.
- Choose one roll size and stick with it throughout the project for consistent pattern matching.
- Round up and order all rolls at once. Same batch means the closest colour match across panels.
- Not sure? Just message me and I'll help you work it out.
Order a sample first
Screens and room lighting both affect how colours read. A sample is the simplest way to check colour, scale, and finish in your own space before committing.
Colour customisation
If the design is almost right but the colour isn't quite there, just ask. I can adjust the palette to match your paint colour, existing décor, or anything else you're working with.
Pattern scale
I can also adjust the scale of a pattern to suit your space, larger, smaller, or as shown. For more significant design edits, a small design fee may apply, but I'll always be upfront about that before anything is confirmed.
Either way, you'll receive a digital preview to approve before your order is placed. No surprises.
How to request
Use the customisation request form to send me your colour or scale preferences. I'll come back to you with a preview and confirm any costs if relevant. Once you're happy, we'll get your order processed.
