Floral Stripe Wallpaper: Mughal Flower Motif on Soft Stripes

Floral Stripe Wallpaper

Stripes and florals have been paired for centuries, and this floral stripe wallpaper gives the idea a bit of heritage. The flower is a hand-drawn Mughal-style botanical, a single flowering plant of the kind found in Mughal Indian textiles, arranged in neat vertical columns between soft stripes.

Rather than scatter the flowers across the wall in a busy, all-over print, they're set in ordered rows, which gives this floral stripe wallpaper its calm, structured rhythm. Each stem is drawn by hand, so the botanical has a soft, slightly imperfect character up close.

Where this floral stripe wallpaper works

It's a pattern with one foot in tradition and one in a modern room. The Mughal flower gives it real heritage, while the stripe keeps it fresh, so this floral stripe wallpaper sits happily in grandmillennial, English country and cottage schemes without feeling dated. As striped wallpaper with flowers goes, it's soft enough to live with every day, and the vertical columns give a room a welcome lift of height.

Run this floral stripe wallpaper through a whole room, or hold it to a single feature wall in a bedroom, hallway or dining room. The pink and yellow colourway is a favourite for nurseries and bedrooms, and both colourways pair beautifully with painted furniture and simple linens.

Colourways

Choose from two colourways, the botanical flower on a soft cream ground:

Pink and Yellow

Dusky pink stripes with a soft yellow flower accent on cream. Warm and quietly nostalgic, a favourite for a nursery, a cottage bedroom, or a grandmillennial living room.

Blue and Yellow

Soft blue stripes with a gold flower accent on cream. Fresh and considered, at home in an English country bedroom, a coastal-leaning room, or a space with white painted furniture and warm wood.

This floral stripe wallpaper is available in peel and stick, traditional non-pasted, and pre-pasted. All printed to order on PVC-free paper.

If the design is almost right but the colour isn't quite yours, every design can be recoloured for free. Send me your paint code and I'll adjust the artwork to match your room before it prints. Just use the custom request page.

Every design at Summer Skye Studio is drawn and developed by me, Sara. Original artwork, and all patterns are copyright Summer Skye Studio.

Wallpaper Types

Peel & Stick

No paste, no fuss. Made from 100% woven polyester fabric at 275gsm (370gsm including the peel-off liner), it has a soft, fabric-like feel and a matte woven texture. Self-adhesive, repositionable for up to 24 hours after hanging, and removes cleanly in one piece.

A good choice for renters, first-timers, and anyone who wants flexibility without sacrificing finish. Works in bathrooms and moderately humid spaces. Not suitable for heavily textured walls.

PVC-free, GreenGuard certified, printed with UV inks.

Traditional (Non-Pasted)

The classic option for a long-lasting, permanent finish. Non-woven fabric at 190gsm with a smooth matte surface. Apply paste to the wall, hang the panel, trim if needed.

A good choice for full room makeovers and anyone wanting a finish that's built to stay. Best on smooth, dry walls. Not recommended for bathrooms or humid spaces. Not suitable for heavily textured walls.

PVC-free, GreenGuard certified, printed with UV inks.

Pre-Pasted

The middle ground between traditional and peel and stick. You get a permanent finish without the paste. The adhesive is already on the paper, activated with a damp roller or sponge.

At 300gsm it has a fine embossed texture and a premium matte feel. Repositionable while the adhesive is still wet, and suitable for bathrooms and moderately humid spaces. Not suitable for heavily textured walls.

PVC-free, GreenGuard certified, printed with UV inks.

Measure your walls carefully

Colours and pattern flow depend on getting this right, so it's worth taking your time.

• Measure height from skirting board to ceiling, or wherever you want the wallpaper to end.
• Measure the width of each wall you plan to cover.
• Use the tallest height measurement across the whole project.
• Include doors, windows, and architectural features so the pattern runs correctly around them.
• Take several measurements along each wall. Ceilings and floors are often uneven.

Read the full guide here.

Order the right amount

• Multiply your wall area by the coverage per roll to estimate how many you need.
• Choose one roll size and stick with it throughout the project for consistent pattern matching.
• Round up and order all rolls at once. Same batch means the closest colour match across panels.
• Not sure? Just message me and I'll help you work it out.

Order a sample first

Screens and room lighting both affect how colours read. A sample is the simplest way to check colour, scale, and finish in your own space before committing.

Colour customisation

If the design is almost right but the colour isn't quite there, just ask. I can adjust the palette to match your paint colour, existing décor, or anything else you're working with.

Pattern scale

I can also adjust the scale of a pattern to suit your space, larger, smaller, or as shown. For more significant design edits, a small design fee may apply, but I'll always be upfront about that before anything is confirmed.

Either way, you'll receive a digital preview to approve before your order is placed. No surprises.

How to request

Use the customisation request form to send me your colour or scale preferences. I'll come back to you with a preview and confirm any costs if relevant. Once you're happy, we'll get your order processed.
