This retro tile wallpaper is my Stadium Pill design, a bold geometric of long, rounded stadium tiles stacked like a hand-glazed wall, each one softened with a subtle gradient so it catches the light the way real ceramic does. It brings the warmth of a mid-century tiled backsplash to a wall, in a wallpaper you can hang yourself.

Each tile is drawn and shaded by hand, so the gradient shifts gently within every pill and no two rows feel quite identical. Up close, that hand-worked texture gives this retro tile wallpaper real depth, and from across the room it reads as a proper run of glazed tiles.

Where this retro tile wallpaper works

The retro tile wallpaper was designed with backsplashes in mind, so it is right at home bringing a tiled feature to a kitchen or a bathroom wall. It is made for small spaces that can take a pop of colour: a powder room, a cloakroom, the wall behind open shelving. In the pre-pasted or peel and stick finish it suits the damp of a bathroom, and as a feature wall it turns a plain space into something with real seventies character.

It leans mid-century, retro and geometric most naturally, and sits happily in a warm, characterful contemporary scheme too. Use it across a whole wall for a bold, all-over tiled look, or on a single feature wall or splashback zone where you want the colour to land in one hit. The bolder colourways make the most statement, while the softer ones keep the tile effect calm.

Colourways

Choose from six colourways, each with its own feel:

Terracotta Red

A warm, earthy terracotta, the most classically retro of the six. Made for a kitchen backsplash or a living room feature wall in a mid-century scheme.

Deep Teal

A deep, confident teal with real seventies character. Striking behind a bathroom vanity or across a cloakroom wall.

Stone Grey

A soft, warm stone grey with a natural, tonal feel. The most neutral of the set, quietly retro rather than loud, and right at home as a kitchen backsplash or a calm bathroom feature.

Mustard Yellow

A warm, golden yellow that brings sunshine to a wall. Lovely in a kitchen or a small space that wants a lift of colour.

Charcoal Black

A deep, smoky charcoal that grounds the pattern. The most versatile of the six, at home in a contemporary kitchen or a moody bathroom.

Dusty Pink

A soft, warm pink that keeps the retro shapes gentle. At home in a powder room, a bedroom feature wall or a relaxed contemporary space.

Olive Green

A muted, earthy olive green with a calm, retro feel. Grounding and easy, and lovely in a kitchen, cloakroom or a nature-leaning scheme.

This retro tile wallpaper is available in peel and stick, traditional non-pasted, and pre-pasted. All printed to order on PVC-free paper with GreenGuard-certified inks.

Wallpaper Types

Peel & Stick

No paste, no fuss. Made from 100% woven polyester fabric at 275gsm (370gsm including the peel-off liner), it has a soft, fabric-like feel and a matte woven texture. Self-adhesive, repositionable for up to 24 hours after hanging, and removes cleanly in one piece.

A good choice for renters, first-timers, and anyone who wants flexibility without sacrificing finish. Works in bathrooms and moderately humid spaces. Not suitable for heavily textured walls.

PVC-free, GreenGuard certified, printed with UV inks.

Traditional (Non-Pasted)

The classic option for a long-lasting, permanent finish. Non-woven fabric at 190gsm with a smooth matte surface. Apply paste to the wall, hang the panel, trim if needed.

A good choice for full room makeovers and anyone wanting a finish that's built to stay. Best on smooth, dry walls. Not recommended for bathrooms or humid spaces. Not suitable for heavily textured walls.

PVC-free, GreenGuard certified, printed with UV inks.

Pre-Pasted

The middle ground between traditional and peel and stick. You get a permanent finish without the paste. The adhesive is already on the paper, activated with a damp roller or sponge.

At 300gsm it has a fine embossed texture and a premium matte feel. Repositionable while the adhesive is still wet, and suitable for bathrooms and moderately humid spaces. Not suitable for heavily textured walls.

PVC-free, GreenGuard certified, printed with UV inks.

Every wallpaper is printed to order using eco-conscious materials. Nothing sits in a warehouse waiting.

Returns and cancellations

• Returns are accepted for printing errors or damage on arrival.
• If something isn't right when it arrives, send me a photo and I'll get it sorted. The sooner the better, and within 30 days of delivery.

Changed your mind?

Nothing goes to print for 3 hours after you order, so get in touch within that window and I'll cancel and refund in full, no questions asked. This is in addition to any statutory rights you have.

Measure your walls carefully

Colours and pattern flow depend on getting this right, so it's worth taking your time.

• Measure height from skirting board to ceiling, or wherever you want the wallpaper to end.
• Measure the width of each wall you plan to cover.
• Use the tallest height measurement across the whole project.
• Include doors, windows, and architectural features so the pattern runs correctly around them.
• Take several measurements along each wall. Ceilings and floors are often uneven.

Order the right amount

• Multiply your wall area by the coverage per roll to estimate how many you need.
• Choose one roll size and stick with it throughout the project for consistent pattern matching.
• Round up and order all rolls at once. Same batch means the closest colour match across panels.

Order a sample first

Screens and room lighting both affect how colours read. A sample is the simplest way to check colour, scale, and finish in your own space before committing.

Colour customisation

If the design is almost right but the colour isn't quite there, just ask. I can adjust the palette to match your paint colour, existing décor, or anything else you're working with.

Pattern scale

I can also adjust the scale of a pattern to suit your space, larger, smaller, or as shown. For more significant design edits, a small design fee may apply, but I'll always be upfront about that before anything is confirmed.

Either way, you'll receive a digital preview to approve before your order is placed. No surprises.
